This backgammon is handmade in greece using the art of marquetry (also spelled as marqueterie) which is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns and designs.

The skilful workers use this method in order to create the inside design of the backgammon.

Walnut is a beautiful tree that symbolizes confidence and mental wisdom. The heartwood of the tree can range from a lighter pale brown to a dark chocolate brown with darker brown streaks. Color can sometimes have a grey , purple or redish cast.
